朝日のあたる家（House Of The Rising Sun）：歌詞の和訳

トラディショナル・フォーク・バラード「朝日のあたる家（House Of The Rising Sun）」（壺齋散人による歌詞の日本語訳）

アメリカのトラディショナル・フォーク・バラードで、ボブ・ディランもカバーしたことがあるが、もっともヒットしたのは、1964年のアニマルズによるカバー。

朝日の家の解釈にはいろいろあるが、少年院とするのが一番自然だ。歌詞の中に出てくる ball and chain は、囚人をつなぐための足かせのことである。
