この曲は1930年にブロードウェー・ミュージカル International Revue のために書かれた。作詞はドロシー・フィールズ、作曲はジミー・マクヒュー。ﾙｲ･ｱｰﾑｽﾄﾛﾝｸﾞがヒットさせたほか、ポップソングのスタンダードナンバーとして数多くの歌手がカバーしている。
