「ホワイトクリスマス」は、今ではクリスマス・ソングの定番になっている。1942年のミュージカル映画「スウィング・ホテル」Holiday Innの主題歌として歌われたが、作られたのは1940年のことらしい。

映画の中では、主演のビング・クロスビー Bing Crosby がマージョリー・レイノルズと一緒に歌っている。後にシングルカットされ、クロスビーの持ち歌として大ヒットした。
